Clinician Collaborations

  • Virtual Clinical Collaboration Groups

Every month there will be one Thursday group 9:00-10:30am PST / 12-1:30pm EST, as well as one Sunday group 12:00-1:30pm PST / 3:00-4:30pm EST.

This peer consultation space is created for clinicians with previous, current, and/or prospective Surrogate Partner Therapy cases, as well as those who work to support clients in developing healthy intimacy skills. Bring your clinical mind to the table for juicy case consultation, resource sharing, and robust theoretical discussions.

The facilitators, Lou Hanson, Brandon Hunter-Haydon and Percy Hawkes, have all served in both roles, as clinicians and Surrogate Partners, and will lend their unique perspectives to support group case consultation.

Offerings for Pros by Request

Meet and Greet

If Surrogate Partner Therapy is newer to your practice OR if you’re just learning about the Embrace Team, then a Meet and Greet is a great place to start. We love connecting with potential supervising therapists and sexual health advocates of all kinds. We will gather our team and come to meet with your group, in person if possible, or virtually if logistics do not permit. We will introduce ourselves, what we do as the Embrace team, and the modality of Surrogate Partner Therapy. A good Q&A is always in order, as well as further discussion on what kind of collaboration with the Embrace team will best work for you.

Panel

Many groups find it incredibly useful to host a panel of Surrogate Partners or Somatic Practitioners. Panels can include a deep dive in specific themes, Q&A on personal experiences, as well as case studies. The Embrace Surrogate Partners offer panels to explore a variety of topics exploring the intricacies of SPT. We are also glad to coordinate a panel of various Somatic Practitioners to introduce professional groups to the broader somatic intimacy field and discuss who to refer for which services and when. Panels are particularly fruitful for groups who thrive on discussion and learn through professional anecdotes.

Training or Presentation

The Embrace Team offers a variety of trainings and presentations to supplement sex education and therapy practices. As professionals and advocates dedicated to sexual health and wellness, we are thrilled to have a wide range of offerings designed to fit the needs of your group. We love bringing professional groups new information, including introducing them to the modality of SPT, clarifying how to optimize the triadic model, as well as sharing intimacy interventions from the Surrogate Partner toolbox. We are also available to provide psychoeducation to client groups on consent, healthy boundaries and communication in sexual intimacy, and a variety of other topics. Reach out using our Contact Us page to tell us a little bit more about what you’re looking for. We’d love to work with you.

Case Consultation

By the nature of Surrogate Partner Therapy, cases are often emotionally complex and challenging. Enlist an Embrace team member to support your SPT case. We can help vet potential referrals to determine appropriateness of the SPT model for specific clients. We can also provide direct consultation to Surrogate Partners, Supervising Therapists, or the full provider team in collaboration. Consultations can happen once to help steer a team or provider during a particularly challenging moment in a case OR we can provide ongoing support throughout. Many newer providers, both therapists and surrogates, really appreciate having ongoing feedback for their first case, as it helps to build their confidence in the SPT model and ensure that they’re fully utilizing the benefit of the therapeutic triad.

Field Trips

As sex and intimacy nerds and educators, we love to spread the joy of good sexual health knowledge and the healthy practice of kink is no exception. Get an exclusive introduction for your professional group to a local dungeon or kink space from an Embrace team member. Catch this sneak peak to see what all the buzz is about and get a feel for what your kinky clients may be exploring. This field trip includes Q&A on healthy BDSM and the kink community.
