Clinical Collaboration Groups
for clinicians
NOW WITH AASECT SUPERVISION!
Surrogate Partner Therapy (SPT) is an intrinsically collaborative modality that derives much of its efficacy from its unique triadic model, wherein a client works closely with both a clinician and a surrogate partner to address issues related to intimacy, relationships, and sexuality. The Clinical Collaboration Group serves as a vital platform for discussion, support, and skill development in the specialized field of SPT. The purpose of this consultation group is to provide a structured forum for clinicians to discuss cases, share insights, seek guidance, build their skills and enhance their understanding of this highly sensitive and nuanced process of relational therapy. By fostering a community of professionals dedicated to ethical practice and ongoing learning, the consultation group aims to improve the quality of care provided to clients and promote best practices within the field of Surrogate Partner Therapy.
What should I know about the group?
-The Clinical Collaboration Group is offered once a month and is open to a variety of providers.
-This peer consultation and supervision space is created for clinicians with previous, current, and/or prospective Surrogate Partner Therapy cases, as well as those who work to support clients in developing healthy intimacy skills. There will always be at least one Surrogate Partner facilitator to contribute perspective from another lens.
-AASECT Supervision is offered by Dr. Misty Gibson. There is a cap on the number of AASECT Supervisees, per AASECT guidelines. Participants not seeking AASECT supervision do not count against that limit. If demand exceeds capacity, group duration may be extended to add more participants or an additional group may be added per month.
-Groups are currently 90 minutes each and participants are welcome to come late or leave early if needed. AASECT Supervision can only be logged for time in the group.
-Clinical Collaboration is a rolling group, so you don’t need to commit to a specified number of sessions. We welcome your voice at the table anytime your schedule permits.
-To support accessibility while honoring the labor and expertise involved in specialized AASECT supervision, participants are invited to select the pricing tier that best fits their financial situation. All supervision registration tiers receive the same supervision experience and AASECT documentation. Registration also includes a donation to the Embrace Resource Group to support their work advancing in the field of SPT through providing continuing education and professional resources, as well as increasing access to SPT training and services.
-There will be discussions of sex and sexuality in the Clinical Collaboration Group. Any discussion will be done in a strictly professional capacity.
-You will receive a reminder email 24-48 hours prior to the Clinical Collaboration Group with the Zoom Link.
